Can I rent the pool for a private function?

Yes, private functions are permitted on Friday, Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.or Sunday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The charge for a two hour rental period is $350.00.



How do I reserve a picnic shelter?

The following picnic shelters can be reserved by contacting the manager's office at 412-486-9700, ext 211.  

Kiwanis Park Shelter   Active Image

Reservations for the Picnic Shelter are taken starting the first weekday in January.  The fee must be paid within two weeks (ten business days) of reservations or the reservation will be forfeited.

  • Keys for the electric box are available at the Shaler Township Police Station and must be returned after use of the shelter.

  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park at any time.

  • Permit holders may not contract with outside ventors/suppliers to bring in auxiliary activities (petting zoos, inflatable slides, moonwalks, etc.).
  • Portable/auxiliary shelters (i.e. tarps, tents, etc.) are not permitted.
  • All refuse, litter, etc. must be placed in trash receptacles.
  • Park closes at dusk and shelter must be vacated.

Upper Kiwanis Park Shelter - (Small picnics of 25 people or less)

What are the cost of season pool passes?

Bring completed application (available under parks & recreation page) to the Municipal Building, 300 Wetzel Road, along with Photo Identification for Residency Verification.

Swimmers must wear commercially manufactured swimming suits.

All rates include the use of the Waterslide.

*The family pass is limited to no more than 2 adults over the age of 25 and all unmarried
 children living at the same address.  



What are the pool hours?

Crawford Pool at Kiwanis park is open seven days a week, Monday thru Saturday from 12:00 noon to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 noon to 7:30 p.m. These hours are weather permitting.
